HappinessFirst Learning – Woodwork is known for its positive effect on mental health and function. It is a great opportunity to join in the fun, make new friends who have a similar interest and learn new skills. Many participants go on to sell their newly created items too – and we can help you to achieve that. You can attend one course and make one object or even attend all three courses. Objects available to make in 2019- a planter box, a birdfeeder or a rabbit hutch.
Who is the class designed for ?
This course is designed for those with no knowledge or experience with woodwork, aged 10 years old +. Please keep in mind, our courses are all tailor made, based on the age and abiity of g
individual and groups booked.
By the end of the course, you will have learned how to:
- use woodworking tools correctly & safely
- read basic plan drawing
- read basic carpentry terminology
- make a Planter Box or Birdfeeder or Rabbit Hutch
Each Woodwork Class is 5 hours, including breaks.
Classes can be held on school/office site or at an agreed location convenient for the participants.
Materials & Tools
All materials and tools are provided.However, participants are also welcome to bring their own tools.
Depending on the participants age and abilities. Can be offered 1:1.
- Wear closed-in shoes
- If you have long hair, please tie it back
- please bring lunch/dinner and snacks
$217.40 inc GST
This course is NDIS approved, so NDIS funding can be used.
